Menopause And SexualityThe menopause also defined as the change in the life is the end of the last menstrual period. Women are likely to experience a dramatic loss of sexual function as a result of menopause. After a woman achieves menopause the monthly menstrual periods stops for the rest of her life. Menopause is the end of a women’s fertility and reproductive years. When the ovary does not respond to the controlling hormones which is released by the pituitary gland of the brain menopause occurs. So the ovaries are not able to release an egg each month to produce the female hormones called oestrogen and progesterone.

The most common symptoms of menopause are anxiety and depression, endometriosis, inability to handle stress, irregular menstrual stress, hot flashes and night sweats, foggy, fuzzy thinking and memory loss, light and heavy menstrual flow, lumpy or tender breasts, mood swings, sleep problems, allergy, hair loss, thinning hair, urinary tract and yeast infections, vaginal dryness, water retention and bloating and weight gain.

Menopause is a natural process for a women and not a disease. The reproductive system is slowly and gradually shut down.
